Greater Hartford Golf Courses
The PGA tour stops 15 minutes south of downtown Hartford in Cromwell, Connecticut August 22-28, 2005 for the Buick Championship, where the world's top professional golfers compete against each other, as well as with celebrity golfers in the pro-am segment.

Gillette Ridge Golf Course
At the intersections of State Route 218 (Cottage Grove Road) and State Route 185 (Bloomfield Ave), was designed by the Palmer Course Design Company as a public, 18-hole, par 72 championship course of more than 7,000 yards with up to five sets of tees per hole. The course, which surrounds the new Gillette Ridge community development, are located on the former 120-acre homestead of Francis Gillette, dating back to 1830. The property served as headquarters for Connecticut General Life Insurance Company, CIGNA Corporation's predecessor, when it moved to this location in 1957.
